The Blessing Connection! Pt. 2 : By James Lantz
The blessing of the Lord restores all that Adam lost because of God’s great mercy, compassion and the liberality of His riches and kindness toward us who believe! The curse had entered the earth as judgement for sin and man was destined to spending all of eternity in the horrors of hell and the lake of fire. Jesus rescued us by taking our sins and sicknesses and punishment upon himself and then rising from the dead. Mt. 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Satan’s eternal grip through sin and death was destroyed by the power of God through Jesus sacrificial death and resurrection! Rom. 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Redemption for man was acquired at great cost through Jesus death and being raised from the dead by Gods’ mighty power! Through Gods’ great redemptive work we have been made one spirit with the Lord and seated together with Christ at the Father’s right hand! The remission of our sins and gift of eternal life is awesome but it doesn’t stop there. David exhorts us to remember all Gods’ benefits! Ps. 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: The psalmist proceeds to list some of God’s benefits. God forgives all of our iniquities and heals all of our diseases! He redeems our life from destruction! We have been redeemed from the curse of the law which is spiritual death, sickness, and poverty. We received the life and nature of God the moment we made Jesus the Lord of our life and were instantly qualified to be a partaker of the inheritance that was purchased for the saints! Col.1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Our redemption includes healing for our bodies, peace for our souls, and deliverance from financial destruction as well as every other kind of destruction. He satisfies our mouth with good so that our youth may be renewed. So many people are looking to the doctor, to the pill, or to the bottle to find their healing when all the while they misuse their tongue and use it to bring death instead of life. 1 Pet. 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. If people understood that when they open their mouth to condemn others they are really opening the door for judgement to come on them they would only speak words that bring blessing. Mt. 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Put the word of God in your mouth and let the word fight your battles and let the word of God bring life and healing to you. The angel’s are listening for you to speak God’s word so they can bring it to pass in your life. Ps. 103:20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Let the weak say I am strong! Pro. 4:22 NLT for they (God’s words) bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.
When we were born from above we entered into a holy covenant with a holy God. Jesus has become the guarantor of this new and better covenant which will last forever. Jesus blood cleanses from all sin and purifies our consciences from dead works to serve the living God. In a covenant agreement there are two people or two parties that each bring what they have to give the other along with a full commitment of themselves. God made a full commitment to each of us by giving His only begotten Son for the sins of the whole world. Jesus committed to being the sacrificial lamb of God, our savior, our high priest, and the head of His body the church. Jesus is forever committed to us as our Savior, our husband, our high priest, and our Lord! God and Jesus did the hard part for us, the part that we could not do, and we do the part that God can not do. The part that God can not do for us is to choose life. God has ordained that we must choose what we love, what we think, what we speak, and what we do. God has instructed us to choose life and declares how it will turn out for all who choose to obey Him and how destruction will come to those who disobey Him. Deut. 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. Gods’ part of this new covenant was to offer Himself through His Son Jesus and make redemption available to whosoever will call upon His name. Our part is to call upon His name, offering ourselves to God through dying to self and receiving this new life which is made available under the Lordship of Jesus. Rom. 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. We enter into this new covenant by choosing to make Jesus the Lord of our life. Believing the truth is a choice and continuing in the truth makes you free!
We connect with the grace of God through believing in our heart and speaking with our mouth! We are saved by grace through faith and the number one way we release faith is by speaking faith words. Rom. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. All of God’s grace (blessing) is received the very same way, by believing with the heart, and saying with the mouth. Speaking faith words is just as important as believing in your heart. Jesus
He shall have whatsoever he saith!
mentioned the word say three times and the word believe only once in Mark eleven twenty three. Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Faith will be released by whosoever speaks faith words from his mouth but without the understanding of how faith works we will be limited in our success. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and understanding. Fearing the Lord means that we accept what He says above all other ideas, opinions, and understanding even if it is ours. God created this world and everything in it by the Word and the Word sustains it. ( John 1:3 Eph. 3:9 Col. 1:16&17 Rev. 4:11 ) First of all this is how God creates, He says it, and it becomes. We are created in God’s image and like God we have been given the ability to speak with our mouth and believe with our heart and exercise dominion in the earth. Remember what Jesus said to his disciples after they woke him up and He spoke to the storm. Jesus said, where is your faith? Faith must be in your heart and coming out of your mouth in order for it to work for you. God does nothing in the earth without first speaking it forth. Amos 3:7 NLT Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. Secondly, Jesus is the high priest of our confession. Heb. 3:1 ASV Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus God needs His man, who is in covenant with Him, to speak His word so that Gods’ will and purposes may be established in the earth. Satan, the accuser of the brethren, acts like a prosecuting attorney in the court room of heaven, bringing our every evil word and action before the Father as proof that we are disqualified for the blessing. Thank God for first John one nine! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If Satan has evidence against you, repent and confess your transgressions before the Father and receive your forgiveness. When your righteousness is restored you can receive your healing and be restored from destruction. Thirdly, faith calls those things which be not as though they were. Jesus spoke to the wind and the waves, Peace, Be still. Peter declares that you were healed by Jesus stripes! Abraham did like God did and called those things which be not as though they were. He called himself the father of many nations and then he became the father of many nations. The prayer of faith is the prayer that calls those things which be not as though they were. You are not telling a lie if you are experiencing symptoms and declare that you are healed by Jesus stripes. If you believe that you are healed and you declare it with your mouth the symptoms will leave and you will become healed by the power of God. This is not trying to get God to do something He doesn’t want to do, this is receiving the healing that God has purposed to be ours through Jesus Christ. People say, I don’t want to say it until I am sure that I am healed. What they mean is that they are not going to believe it until they see it which is walking by sight and not by faith. We are commanded to walk by faith and not by sight! The spirit of faith believes and speaks and it comes to pass! 2 Cor. 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. Fourth Battles are won by going on the offensive. The sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon mentioned with the armor of God. The sword of the Spirit is the word of God and you wield the sword by speaking the word of God or praying the word of God. Either way it is you using the sword of the Spirit with faith in your heart and words on your lips. Eph. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Rev. 12:11 WNT But they have gained the victory over him because of the blood of the Lamb and of the testimony which they have borne, and because they held their lives cheap and did not shrink even from death. Bring glory to God by possessing whats yours!
If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!
