Your Vote Is Your Seed!

Your vote is your seed! : By James Lantz

A seed will produce after its own kind. God has established that seed is within the fruit and that the seed will reproduce of its own kind.  Gen. 1:11  And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.  God in His wisdom, created the plants, trees, animals, birds, fish, and His beloved man to have seed within themselves. It was and is the will of God for the earth to be filled with His creation and for His beloved man to enjoy and rule over everything that He had made.  Gen. 1:28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.  God is seed minded! God thinks big! God thinks generationally while man tends to think momentarily. When man turned his God given dominion over to Satan and refused to take responsibility for his sin, God turned to the woman who acknowledged she had been deceived by the serpent. God then pronounced the judgement that each would receive for their sin, beginning with the serpent. This betrayal did not take God by surprise nor did He yield to the spirit of depression, but He immediately began to speak of the crushing of Satan’s head through the seed of the woman. This seed is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ! God bypassed the man and found a virgin girl named Mary who received the seed of God. This seed was the righteous Son of God manifested in the flesh. Through man the kingdoms of this world were handed over to Satan and through the man Christ Jesus dominion was restored to God through  Christ’s resurrection.  1 Tim. 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;   God has always been seed minded! He has decreed that as long as the earth remains there shall be seedtime and harvest. He gave us His word and told us that if we chose life we and our seed would live.  Deut. 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:  He gave us His seed to redeem all who would receive Him. The seed is the word of God and will heal you if you receive His words in your spirit.  Ps. 107:20  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.  The whole kingdom of God works through the seed of God’s word being planted in the human spirit and maturing and bringing forth a harvest in those that continue to believe and do the word!  Mark 4:26  And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;  Christ is the first fruit of those that slept and we will get a glorified body just like His at His coming! Our natural world is patterned after the spirit world and therefore the seeds we plant determine the harvest we get and what is to come.

One doctrine of demons that has infiltrated the church is that whatever happens is the will of God. God warned Nebuchadnezzar through a dream that he was in danger of judgement yet Daniel didn’t assume that was the will of God for him. Daniel counseled the king in what he should do that would be pleasing to God and how God would most likely reverse the projected judgement.  Daniel 4:27  Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.  The king did pretty good for a year but then he yielded to pride and judgement came while those words were yet in his mouth. You may have heard people say, all things work together for good, you know. The scripture does not say that everything works for the good. The scripture says that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Rom. 8:28)   Us loving God is not the same as God loving us. God loves everyone which includes the sinner. Jesus said that those who love God are those that do what God says.  John 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  We need to understand that sin is never the will of God and that God is merciful to the repentant one. God has ordained those in authority and we are to submit ourselves under them in the fear of God. God had anointed Saul to be king over Israel but because of his disobedience God removed him and raised up David. God had picked Aaron and his descendants to be His priests forever but Eli’s disrespect for the call of God caused that to be forfeited.  1 Sam. 2:30  Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.  It was the will of God for Eli to remove his wicked sons from the office of the priesthood and when he refused to act, God had them removed another way. Some will say that it doesn’t matter whether I vote or not because whoever gets into power is God’s will for us. God has privileged us to

Your vote is your voice for the future!

choose our leaders and if we allow wickedness to thrive in public office by doing nothing we will be guilty like Eli was. When the godly are in authority the people rejoice, but when the wicked are in power, they groan. Eli, the priest of God, overlooked the importance of the law of association and it cost him the life of his sons, his own life, and all of his posterity being cut off from the ministry. Sometimes people who love God refuse to honor the law of association and it cost them. Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, made an alliance with Ahab, king of Israel, by having his son marry Ahab’s daughter. Years later, wicked king Ahab persuaded king Jehoshaphat to join him in battle against Syria. Four hundred false prophets were prophesying victory in battle but Jehoshaphat requested that they hear from a prophet of God. Micaiah, the prophet of God said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountain as sheep with no shepherd. King Jehoshaphat over rode the law of association, then after having the sense to seek the word of the Lord, over rode the word of the Lord and joined himself with king Ahab in battle. This almost cost Jehoshaphat his life but God spared him from his foolishness. On his way home God sent the prophet Jehu to bring a rebuke.  2 Chron. 19:2 NLT  Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him. “Why should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?” he asked the king. “Because of what you have done, the Lord is very angry with you.  When you cast your vote you are joining yourself to the candidate and the platform on which he stands. I am not saying that we will agree on every little thing but we need to be joining with those who are honoring the Lord through the pursuit of life, liberty, and justice for all. All includes male and female, all nationalities, all ages and even those yet in the womb. Our Federal governments biggest responsibility is to keep its citizens safe physically and financially. A strong national defense is a wonderful deterrent to would be invaders and a strong economy helps bring financial stability to the whole world.

When God’s people refuse to vote it is like giving two votes to the wicked and ungodly voter (yours and theirs). The sinners seem to always be able to rally around the candidate who will help them sin easier. It is time for the righteous to rally around the ones who will legislate a climate for righteousness to prevail. Some say, I just don’t know who to vote for. There is some homework we all must do. You can google the different political parties to find out what their platform (agenda that everyone in that party has) is. We can find out what position candidates are taking by listening to them speak or reading articles about them. Those who represent us in congress have a voting record which is available to the public. We can go online and see what values they voted for and against in the past. Regardless of what they say their vote is a true reflection of who and what they represent. There are many good organizations that help get the word out of who is doing what. Christian voters guides are available several weeks before election day. Information is important but does not take the place of prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction in who to vote for. Our vote is our seed for our future and the future of our descendants! The one who loves his children cares just as much about their life as he does his own. God has always expressed His desire to bless the children of the righteous just like He blessed their parents!  Gen. 13:15  For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.  The word says that God will increase us more, us and our children! The children of God are warned not to offer any of their children to be burned as a sacrifice to Molech. ( Lev. 18:21)  Many sacrifice to the god of selfishness today by having an abortion so as not to have to care for the child. God loves us all, big kids and small!

You are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. We are trailblazers! We are difference makers! We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!  2 Cor. 5:21 NLT  For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.  You are the salt of the earth as long as you do the will of the Master. Prayers and votes for righteousness will bring blessing into our world for our sakes and for our children.  1 Tim. 2:1&2 NLT  I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

Rom. 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
