Healing Activators! By James L Lantz
Healing has been provided for every man, woman, boy, and girl in God’s redemptive plan through the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains! He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities (known sin), chastised for our peace and well being, and with the stripes that wounded Him we were healed and made whole. Isaiah wrote about Jesus sacrificial suffering and purchasing of our redemption as if it were a completed fact seven hundred and thirty years before Jesus hung on the cross. Of course God considered Jesus the sacrificial lamb slain from the foundation of the world. When Jesus ministered forgiveness to the paralyzed man who was being let down through the roof the scribes and pharisees thought He was blaspheming. Jesus perceived their thoughts saying. Luke 5:23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? Forgiveness of sins and healing for the body, along with abundance was offered on credit under the old covenant and finalized through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and His resurrection. Many times when Jesus served healing to people He would lay His hands on them to release the anointing, or give them something to do which activated the anointing. Mark 3:1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. Mark 3:2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. Jesus told the man with the withered hand to

stand up in the midst of the people. Next he commanded him to stretch forth his hand, and when he started to (do the impossible) stretch forth his hand the power of God came on him and made him whole. That word heal in Mark 3:2 is translated from the greek word therapeuo from which we get our English word therapy from. It includes the meaning of a servant’s help to relieve one of disease and to cure or heal. This helps us understand that most of the time we must take cooperative steps to receive our healing. Understand that when we read that Jesus healed them all that that refers to all those that came to him for healing. The ones who didn’t have time to come to the healing meeting or step up to have hands laid on them didn’t get healed. Those of us who are carriers of the anointing recognize that getting people healed today is a cooperative effort of all involved. It is the responsibility of the one who is sick to call on the elders of the church for prayer and to be anointed with oil in the name of the Lord. It is the responsibility of us ministers to be full of faith and ready to minister at all times. James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
There are a number of ways mentioned in the scriptures in which faith for healing was activated. The children of Israel had cried out to God for deliverance from Egyptian bondage and God sent them a deliverer in Moses. After nine plagues against Pharaoh God instructed them to kill the passover lamb and in obedience they experienced everyone strengthened and healed. Later they cried out to Moses in repentance asking to be healed from the bite of fiery serpents. God had Moses make a bronze serpent and put it up on a pole. All who fixed their gaze on this bronze serpent were healed. King Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and cried and prayed, pleading his case before God. God healed Hezekiah, delivered the people from the Assyrians, and added fifteen years to Hezekiah’s life. Healing and deliverance is activated through crying out or praying to God. Healing is activated through attending to the word of God. Ps. 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Healing is activated through ordering our life after the plan of God! Healing is activated through the laying on of hands or calling for the elders of the church. Healing is also activated by binding the devil, pleading the blood of Jesus, speaking the word, and serving the Lord with joyfulness and gladness of heart.
Another way we activate the healing power of God in our life is by giving to the poor. When we open up our heart of compassion and give to the poor and needy we are allowing the love of Christ to flow from us. The psalmist proclaims how God will protect us from our enemies, raise us up from the sick bed, deliver us, and keep us alive, because we ministered to others in their time of need. Psalms 41:1-3 AMPC BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) is he who considers the weak and the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the time of evil and trouble. The Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will sustain, refresh, and strengthen him on his bed of languishing; all his bed You [O Lord] will turn, change, and transform in his illness. God revealed through Isaiah a whole list of things, including giving food, shelter, and clothing to the poor, that would cause Him to hear our prayers. Loose the

bands of wickedness, undo heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke. Deal your bread to the hungry, bring the poor that are cast out to your house, and when you see the naked, cover him, and don’t hide from your own flesh. When we do these things our light will break forth as the morning, our health will spring forth speedily, our righteousness will go before us, and the glory of the LORD shall be our rear guard. Isaiah 58:9&10 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul . . . . In our new and better covenant God both warns us of judgement for those who live covetously and blessing for those who walk in love. Every good thing we do for others the Lord will do for us! In light of our new commandment we are to prioritize our love for those of the household of faith. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. How is it possible for one to have the love of God inside of him and turn away from helping his brother who is in need. 1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? God is looking for those whose heart is in their giving because motive is everything to God. 1 Cor. 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. As we open our heart and believe God to do that which He has commanded we find receiving comes easy!

The Next Phase Of Our Building Project Is The Prophets Quarters
This will include purchasing an additional acre of land, and enlarging our current septic system to satisfy local building code requirements for the constructing of this master suite. The master suite will be constructed in our basement including a spacious kitchen and dining area, full bath, and bedroom in which we will be able to host traveling ministers and friends who visit us.
We anticipate being able to complete The Prophets Quarters project for $100,000.00
When we sow our alms into helping the poor with food, clothing, shelter, schooling and other ways as the Lord leads us we have His promise that He will pay us back. This is awesome to think that whatever we give to the poor essentially will be coming back to us. This promise is not made by some confused politician who says that this overspending really will not cost you anything but rather by the one who created the heavens and the earth. Pro. 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Knowing that we will not come up short releases us to flow freely with the compassion of Jesus in our giving.
Another kind of giving is sowing into the life of God’s anointed ministers which yields multiple returns. Remember the words of Jesus, those who receive the one’s that I send are receiving Me, and they who receive a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward! A good example of how God rewards those who help His ministers fulfill their assignments is found in the account of the Shunammite woman. This great woman insisted that Elisha join them for dinner. As it went this kind hospitality led to a friendship in which Elisha would join them for a meal every time he passed by that way. One day she said to her husband, I perceive Elisha is a holy man of God, let’s build a guest room for him to use at any time. One day as Elisha was enjoying some relaxation in his guest room he said to Gehazi, his assistant, ask that Shunammite to come here. Tell her, I appreciate everything you have done for me, now what can I do for you. Would you like me to speak to the king, or the captain of the hosts for you. She responds, no, we are fine, we live among our own people. After she leaves, Elisha asks Gehazi, do you know of anything I could do for her? Ghazi said, she has no child and her husband is old. Elisha says, have her come again. 2 Kings 4:16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. Apparently she and her husband came into agreement with the word of the Lord because they had a son just like Elisha prophecied to her. This reward of finally being able to have a son after it looked like it would never happen is way beyond what money can buy! It didn’t stop there, when their precious son died, Elisha was there to raise him from the dead. Also they received a word of warning from the man of God about a seven year famine which they were able to avoid by leaving the country. At the end of the famine they returned to ask the king to restore their land to them. They came before the king just as Elisha’s assistant, Gehazi, was recounting to the king the great miracles he had witnessed in his time with Elisha. 2 Kings 8:5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. This is the favor of God to have the king hearing about Elisha raising the young boy from the dead and then to meet him and have the account verified. The king restored all of this woman’s land and all the fruit that had been gleaned from it for the past seven years. This sounds exactly like what Jesus said would be done for those who give up their own things for His sake and the gospel’s sake today! Mark 10:29&30 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
