Seven Ways To Receive Healing! By James L Lantz
Healing has been purchased for us through Christ redemptive work in His sufferings, crucifixion, and the rising from the dead. Redemption was provided for the whole man, spirit. soul, and body. The spirit of man is made alive unto God through Christ righteousness upon receiving Jesus as our Lord! Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. The very moment we receive the Lord Jesus we are baptized into the body of Christ and become a new creation. 1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Our spirit has been made one with the Spirit of God and thus God illuminates and guides us through our spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. The real man is housed in a physical body and when the body dies the spirit departs. The angels know which way to take those who depart from their body in death. Those who have received the life of God are taken up to heaven to be with the Lord and those who have refused the Lord Jesus are taken down into hell.
Our souls consist of our mind, will, and emotions and are very closely entwined with our heart or spirit. Through the word of God we are to separate that which is our own will and desires from that which God is leading us to do. Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Our minds our to be renewed and transformed by thinking God’s thoughts and thus we will be mindful to do His will. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We are to submit our emotions unto God’s word as well. Our mind, will, and emotions are all a part of our eternal being. Those who have refused the life of God will live eternally but their eternity will consist of ongoing suffering. The rich man’s soul was still intact in Hades after his body was dead and buried. Obviously he has an eternal spiritual body because he saw Abraham and Lazarus and wanted some water to cool his tongue. His mind, will, and emotions are shown to be intact as he pleads for Abraham to send one to warn his brothers not to come to this awful place. Luke 16:23 NKJV And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. This account of the rich man, Lazarus, and Abraham reveals the three fold nature of man, spirit, soul, and body. This is clearly not a parable since Jesus said this certain rich man lived and recognized Lazarus and Abraham afar off.
Healing for our present (vile) body was included in Jesus sufferings, death and resurrection. Isaiah 53:4&5 YLT Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, And our pains–he hath carried them, And we-we have esteemed him plagued, Smitten of God, and afflicted. And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace [is] on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us. We look forward to the return of our Lord when He shall resurrect and change our bodies just like His was resurrected on that third day. Phil. 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Until that glorious day arrives it pleases God for you to receive your healing now by activating your faith in what the Lord has spoken!
Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

1. Healing Through The Laying On Of Hands! Mark 16:18 Hebrews 6:2 Acts 28:8
Jesus said that one way you will recognize a believer is that they will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover! Laying on of hands is one of the six fundamental doctrines of Christ church
2. Healing Through Being Anointed With Oil!
James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
3. Healing Through Gifts Of The Spirit! 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 John 5:8&9
One of the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in the twelfth chapter of first Corinthians is called gifts of Healings. The Young Literal Translation rightly translates both gifts and healings as being plural. John relates how Jesus ministered healing to one impotent man lying by the pool called Bethesda and walked away leaving a multitude of sick behind. Apparently this was the only person the Spirit of God led Jesus to minister to. (The times that Jesus healed them all was when the people came to Him to be healed.)
1 Cor. 12:9 YLT and to another faith in the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings in the same Spirit;
4. Healing Through Agreement In Prayer!
Mt. 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
5. Healing Through Prayer In The Name Of Jesus! Matthew 7:11 John 15:16 Eph. 5:20
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
6. Healing Through Placing Demand In Jesus Name! John 14:13 (John 16:26 DBY)
We are not demanding God do anything. We are simply placing demand on what God has already provided for us through Christ. It could be likened to placing a demand on electricity by turning the light switch on. We are not demanding the power company to send electricity to us but rather placing a demand on what the power company has already provided for us. The word ask in John 14:13 can also be translated require or demand.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 16:26 DBY In that day ye shall ask in my name; and I say not to you that I will demand of the Father for you
7. Healing Through Knowing That Healing Belongs To You! 1 Pet. 2:24 1 Jn. 5:12 1 Cor. 3:21
Mt. 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
