Jesus Soon Return! :By James L Lantz
Jesus clearly stated that He was leaving to prepare a place for His precious people and others testified that His return to receive us unto Himself would be in the same manner. Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Jesus said He was going to prepare mansions for us to live in and that He would return to receive us unto Himself. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Notice how gracious Jesus words are to those who love and serve Him, I will receive you unto Myself! This was spoken to His disciples who were soon to be recipients of eternal life and for all of us who receive Him as our Lord. We who are redeemed from the wrath to come! Paul writes about the mystery of Jesus returning for His bride. There will be those who will be alive on the earth who will not go by the way of the grave but rather caught up in the air to be ever with the Lord! 1 Cor. 15:51&52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. This is the moment that death is swallowed up in defeat and our bodies will be glorified like our Lord’s body. The Spirit of God emphasised through Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians that we are redeemed from God’s wrath!
God Rescues Those Who Love Him!
God is righteous in protecting those who believe Him and love Him! Paul reminds us at the beginning and ending of this letter that we are not to worry or be troubled since we have been delivered from God’s wrath! 1 Thess. 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thess. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Paul writes that we are to be comforted with the fact that we will be caught up to be with the Lord prior to God’s wrath being poured out on those who refuse Him. God will honor those with seniority, who have died and gone on before us, by bringing them back with Christ to pick up their earthen body and have it glorified first. 1 Thess. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thess. 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. We now know how quickly our vile bodies will be changed into a glorious body like Jesus, our big brother has. Phil. 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Our spirit was made perfect and complete just like our Lord’s, the moment we were translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son! 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Our spirit is complete in Christ, anointed, containing all of the fruit of the spirit which is why the scripture says, as He is so are we in this world. Col. 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: The old man has died and we have become a new creation that never existed before. Our soul which consist of our mind, will, and emotions must be renewed and transformed by the word of God. James, in his writing to the brethren, urges them to rid their lives of evil and receive the word of God with meekness for the saving of their souls. The apostle John connects prospering and walking in health to the prospering of the soul. 3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. The redemption of our body will take place when Jesus gathers His church unto Himself. 2 Thess. 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, This amazing event is also referred to as the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ! The beloved John exhorts us to abide in Jesus, so we may have confidence at His appearing, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming!
The catching away of the church and Jesus second coming are often lumped together as one event, though they are obviously and distinctly different and separate events. Many Bible scholars believe that the day of the Lord refers to the seven year period called the great tribulation. Isaiah 13:9 NLT For see, the day of the LORD is coming—the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it. This time of great tribulation is also referred to as Jacob’s trouble. Jesus spoke of this time being so terrible that none would remain alive unless the days were shortened. Mt. 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. This will be the seven missing years from Israel’s prophetic timeline of seventy weeks of years mentioned by Daniel. The time of the Gentiles is inserted before these last seven years of tribulation. When the fullness of the Gentiles is complete Israel’s eyes will be opened and all of Israel will receive Jesus, the Messiah. Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: In the middle of the seven years of tribulation the antichrist will be revealed and make a sacrifice of desolation declaring himself to be God. The antichrist will rally the whole world
All Israel Shall Be Saved!
to fight against Israel and when it looks like Israel’s demise they will cry out to God and Jesus will come and save them! Zechariah 14:2 NLT I will gather all the nations to fight against Jerusalem. The city will be taken, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half the population will be taken into captivity, and the rest will be left among the ruins of the city. Zechariah 14:3 NLT Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as he has fought in times past. God’s prophets foretold how Jesus would come the second time to judge and to destroy all the enemies of God. This is the day of vengeance of our God as written by Isaiah! Enoch, the seventh from Adam spoke of this day, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. John saw Jesus and an army of saints from heaven coming on a white horses to smite the nations! Jesus eyes were as a flame of fire and on His head were many crowns. His outer garment was dipped in blood and His name is called The Word Of God! Rev. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Rev. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Everyone who has hope of escaping God’s wrath by way of the rapture purifies himself, even as Jesus is pure. (see 1 John 3:3) Paul writes that we are to be comforted, knowing that we will be caught up to be ever with the Lord!
Who will be Caught Up To Be With The Lord At His Appearing?
Everyone who believes that Christ righteousness has become their righteousness in sincerity and in truth! We receive God’s righteousness ( His grace ) through faith! Our first step is to make Jesus the Lord of our life and then walk closely with Him that we are not deceived by false teachers that abound in these last days. Jude 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. John writes that we who have this hope purify ourselves. We purify ourselves by taking heed to the word of the Lord. This is called the washing of the the water of the Word! 1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 Tim. 6:14 . . . keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of . . .
2 Tim. 4:8 . . . unto all them also that love his appearing.
Titus 2:12-14 . . . denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
1 Pet. 1:7 . . . your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ

A Storm Is Coming – Batten Down The Hatches!
We are headed into a season of intense warfare on many fronts – economic, political, and spiritual. But the Lord is a man of war, and He knows exactly how to strategize against and overcome every assault against His people and against His Truth.
But just as one should batten down the hatches in a time of storms, God’s people must be mentally and spiritually prepared for a stormy season that lies directly ahead. However, with the grace of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the promises of God’s Word, and the weaponry He has given, we can move forward step by step with the strategic guidance of the Holy Spirit. And God will triumphantly lead His people forward and carry out His plans for this end-time age.
This is not a time to fear, moan, or cry, but a time to rejoice, for God is strategically at work even in ways you do not see. Although it may seem the enemy and those he is influencing are attempting to derail God’s purposes, remember that the One who sits in the heavens laughs at their plans, and He will ultimately have them in derision (see Psalm 2:4). God is a Man of War, and in the end, His purposes shall surely prevail!
