You Choose! : By James L Lantz
Love cares about what you want and that is why God created you and I with the ability and freedom to choose who we will serve! God, who is Love, does not want anyone to choose death, so He tells us to choose life. Deut. 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins so we could be freed from sins deadly grip. Jesus bore the sins of the whole world through His suffering and death on the cross. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. This means that Jesus paid the penalty for the sins of those who choose Him and for the sins of those who reject Him. Hell and the lake of fire were not created for human beings and God does not want anyone to go there, but those who refuse redemption through Jesus Christ will end up there. By choosing Jesus we choose eternal life and all the benefits Jesus brings!
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Believing is a choice! Jesus began His earthy ministry preaching that men must repent and believe the gospel (good news of redemption). Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. God would be unjust to require everyone to believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father if we could not believe.
No, everyone can repent and believe the gospel, if they choose to. We all believe something,
either we believe Jesus is the way to the Father or we believe something else. Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Can you say with me, I know and believe the love that God has to me, because God is love, and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in us. Believing in your heart and speaking
with your mouth are mandatory and fundamental in receiving so great a salvation from God.
Upon being accepted into God’s royal family God expects us to grow up into the image of His Son and help establish His kingdom in the earth. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. This may be a stretch for your mind but God really did put His life into you when you became a new creature in Christ. We have been given the gift of righteousness through becoming one with Christ. As stated in the fifth chapter of second Corinthians, God made Jesus to be sin for us so we could be made righteous in Christ! It is our choice to believe what God said in His word or believe something else. Believing what God said is choosing life!
All God’s children have been prequalified to receive the inheritance provided through Christ Jesus but we still need to take it by faith! Col. 1:12 AMPC Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. There is great revelation in this verse concerning receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance, provision, and protection! Notice we are to thank God now believing that we receive before we see or feel it, and it requires the revelation or light of God’s word to obtain the blessing. A major key in receiving the promises of God is to be about the Father’s business by pursuing God’s call on your life. If we don’t already know what God has called us to do we need to seek the Lord to show us His will for our life. Our website, www.parkesburgwordoffaith.org , features the message, HOW TO KNOW GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE. Pray the Ephesians One prayer over yourself asking God to show you the hope of His calling for your life, and He will show you! Eph. 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, We are still talking about us choosing, we can either choose to fulfill the plan God called us to, which is the path that leads to life, or choose a path that leads to death. It really is the height of pride to think that we could come up with a better plan than what God has planned for us.
It is true that God created each of us with unique gifts and callings to fulfill our part in the body of Christ! The choice we have is to say yes, I will do what you created me to do or no, I will do my own thing. God’s will is that everyone of us attain the gold or silver status that He can use in His church. Paul explains that attaining gold or silver status is obtainable for everyone but we must depart from iniquity ( known sin ) and purge ourselves from that which is dishonorable. 2 Tim. 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Paul goes on saying we are to flee youthful lust and follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Avoid foolish and unlearned questions, knowing that they cause strife and we must not strive. Be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, and with meekness instruct those that oppose themselves. If they will repent and acknowledge the truth, God will forgive and empower them to escape from the snare of the devil who captured them in their time of iniquity. The instruction to purge ourself from that which is dishonorable means we are to choose those things and actions which please the Lord. We must choose to spend time reading God’s word or the many voices in this world will steal our time. We must choose to speak our faith which releases the power of God in our life! Phil. 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Success is found in our daily routine and in consistency lies the power!
Speaking, Talking, And Confessing God’s Word Causes Our Faith To Work!

Heb. 3:1 ASV Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;
We communicate our faith with our words and actions. Our faith takes effect as we
speak of those good things that have become ours through our oneness with Christ!
1. I am in Christ Jesus and His life is in me!

2. All of the fruit of the Spirit and every spiritual blessing is mine in Christ Jesus!
Gal. 5:22&23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Eph. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
2 Cor. 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
3. Thanks be to God who anointed me and always causes me to triumph in Christ Jesus!

2 Cor. 2:13 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
4. God gave us all things pertaining to life and godliness through His divine power and made Jesus to be wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption for me.
