Don’t Believe The Lies: By James Lantz
It’s too late for me to change, I wasted away my opportunity! My addiction has too big a grip on me. No-one would listen too me. I’ll never be able to get out of debt. God would never heal me. These are all lies of the enemy! Jesus came to set the captives free! The truth will make you free! Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Don’t believe the lies, Believe the truth and confess the truth! Jesus said that we must believe that we receive our desires before we have them. There are some other lies cloaked in tradition that have assisted in lulling the church to sleep. Mt. 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. The church was asleep in 1964, when bible reading was removed from the public schools, and in 1973 when our high court made provision for the murdering of the innocent, and more recently in closing of churches. Lies that say christians shouldn’t be involved in government nor care enough to vote. Daniel worked for the government of his day. Daniel 2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Esther went before the king on behalf of her people! Erastus was the city treasurer. Romans 16:23 AMPC Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church here, greets you. So do Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus. Paul stood up for his rights as a Roman citizen and saved himself from being beaten. Acts 22:25 NLT When they tied Paul down to lash him, Paul said to the officer standing there, “Is it legal for you to whip a Roman citizen who hasn’t even been tried?” Do you know your constitutional rights as a citizen of the United States?
Do you know your rights as a citizen of the United States?
It is our responsibility to properly interrupt the holy scriptures through study and the help of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the five fold ministry. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Always discern who is speaking and to whom they are speaking to and the context of what is being spoken. God’s rule of having two or three witnesses helps prevent us from misinterpreting His will. In second Corinthians six the Spirit of God is warning us not to be best friends, especially in marriage, with those who do not belong to Christ because their desires will be toward idolatry and other things that will defile us. 2 Cor. 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, We are to have our own company of believers within our local church in which we have rich fellowship with and strong commitment to. Acts 4:23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. The command to come out from among the world does not mean that we can’t work beside, be friendly to, nor visit the ungodly but rather that our preferred fellowship is with the people who love God and His word. Love for the things of this world makes us an enemy of God. James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. God is looking at our hearts to see if we love Him and His church and doing that which is right more than any other thing. A farmer could love God’s creation (his farm) more than he loves his creator just as Dads and Moms could love their children (God’s creation) more than their creator. Regardless of whether one works for the government or the government works for us we all will be held accountable for who or what we loved the most. Some people are called to be leaders or workers in government just like God calls some to preach. Romans 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
We in the United States have inherited a republic under God which is to be ruled by the people and for the people. It is a great privilege to be able to choose our own leaders who represent our views and our positions. Our forefathers who formed the constitution of the United States looked to Almighty God and His holy word in writing our constitution. They foresaw what could happen with tyrannical leaders drunk with power and put many checks and balances in place to protect us from wicked leaders. We have three branches of government designed for separation of power. We have legislators selected and elected from our home district that make laws for us at both the federal and state level. We have the executive leadership at both the federal and state level which carry out the laws. We also have the judicial branch of government at both the federal and state level which are our judges. Some judges are elected and some are appointed. When corruption in our government is so deep that our president and our governors can break the law and the judges either ignore it or say its okay, we have big problems. In our type of government, we the people, are responsible to remove the leaders that break the law and selectnewleadersthatwillhonorGodandourconstitution. God told us that our prayers for our leaders will determine if we live in peace and safety.
God has also told us that if we experience pestilence we are to call on Him and He will heal our land. 2 Chron. 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Notice that one of God’s requirements for His forgiveness is the turning away from wickedness. Refusing to take responsibility as stewards of this land and this most precious form of government that we inherited is wicked. Turning away from this sin of omission can only be accomplished by getting involved and doing our duty at the local level. Faith without action is dead!
We take responsibility at our job, in our church, and care for our home, certainly we should care for our community and this great republic under God which gives us freedoms to enjoy. Don’t believe the lies that say its to late, there is nothing that can be done, the United States is going down. God has heard our prayers and is moving on our behalf to restore and heal our land. Let’s praise Him and be about the work that we must do!
Don’t believe the lies that say its wrong to imagine! We must use our shield of faith and protect ourselves from the fiery darts of the enemy by casting down every wicked thought that he hurls at us but that doesn’t mean we can’t imagine good things. 2 Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; King Saul and his soldiers were only imagining Goliath and the Philistines dominating them but David imagined taking him down and defeating God’s enemies. After the great flood the descendants of Noah imagined themselves building a great tower and making a name for themselves. God had to come down and confuse their language, saying, nothing that they imagine would be impossible to them. Do you really think that we who are made new creatures in Christ Jesus, made one spirit with the Lord, and seated together with Him in heavenly places are less capable of seeing ourselves victorious than David. Our imagination is involved with our expectation to see the glory of God in the earth. Eph. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Believe to see Good!
Great Mothers!
Great mothers don’t necessarily start off great as was the case with Rahab the harlot. For whatever reason this was her condition when two spies from Israel stopped at her house in Jericho. She had heard how the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had miraculously delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage forty years ago and was even now sustaining them in the desert. Rahab believed that God was good and that He would accept her if she chose to join the people of God. Joshua 6:25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. This great lady turned from her sin and whole heartedly embraced the great God Jehovah and His people. Matthew made reference that she married a man of God and became the mother of Boaz. Being great in God’s sight does not depend on our past but our choice to believe Him and go all in with Him! Rahab’s son Boaz ( Boaz may not have been accepted by every family in Israel but the blessing of God was on him ) married a widow named Ruth who was a descendant of Lot. Both of these girls had things in their past to overcome but God likes it when people choose Him over anything and everything else and believe in His goodness. God was pleased with these great mother’s and made sure that Rahab and Ruth were named in the lineage leading up to Mary and Joseph and Jesus!
Hannah petitioned the Lord for a child and eventually made a vow that God could bless. Year after year she cried and plead instead of believe and praise and thus no power was released. Hannah did some things right, she didn’t quit and she placed herself where the power of God was supposed to be present, and she took what the preacher said to her even though he was a compromised priest. 1 Sam. 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. Hannah agreed with the word from the Lord, saying, Let your handmaid find grace in your sight! She went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. Let’s be honest, if we believe we received what we asked God for we will go our way rejoicing like the eunuch that was baptized. I am sure Elkanah was rejoicing and praising God for a wife who had traded her unbelief and sorrow into believing and praising and worshipping God. After she gives Samuel to the Lord to fulfill her vow she prays and prophecies that the barren hath born seven!
There was great woman of Shunem who became a great Mother by sowing into the life of Elisha, God’s minister. She recognized that Elisha was a man of God and gave of her substance to build a prophet’s quarters onto their house.
2 Kings 4:9&10 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. She had no idea that her willingness to obey the Holy Spirits leading and help the work of God would lead to the desire of her heart being granted her in having a son. Her desire to help the man of God was motivated simply by her love for God and His people and God rewarded her and her husband beyond what they could ask or think.
Mary, the mother of our Lord was great because she believed the word of the Lord! There was a woman who was so stirred from hearing Jesus teach that she spoke out loudly saying, Blessed is the womb that bare you, and the paps which thou have sucked. Jesus immediately proclaimed that the blessing of the Lord was for everyone who would hear the word of God and do it! Every mother who teaches their children to reverence and obey the Lord is a great mother in God’s sight. Mother’s, don’t give your children into the hands of the ungodly to raise and form them into this worlds mold. ( Do Deut. 6:7 instead of Disney movies ) Your life of love and service to Jesus will be caught as well as taught!
Proverbs 31 Woman
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Freedom from sin is most important but do not despise freedom to worship!
Haggai 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
