We who have been born from above and have entered into life are now privileged to read and understand Paul’s knowledge of being made one with Christ! Eph. 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, We have been raised together with Christ, by grace through faith, and positioned with Him in the heavenly’s. Eph. 2:6 GNT In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world. Our position in Christ is often referenced in the epistles by saying, in Him, by Him, or through Him, or in Christ, by Christ, or through Christ, or with Christ. The very moment we committed our life to Jesus we were baptized into the body of Christ and became one spirit with Him! Col. 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: We have now become citizens of heaven while we are still citizens on earth! This explains how the very least in the kingdom of God has become greater than the greatest prophet in the old covenant. Jesus, the last Adam, has restored by conquest that which the first Adam squandered through disobedience in the garden. Adams choice to disobey removed him from God’s family and placed him into satan’s family. We were separated from God through the law of sin and death but now made alive unto God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Satan’s kingdom of darkness has been exposed through the word of God and yet many remain ignorant and blind to his working in the unseen realm even to this day. Satan, called Lucifer, along with Gabriel, and Michael was one of God’s top three angel’s. He was God’s anointed cherub, created in beauty and perfect, until he endeavored to seat himself as God. Ezek 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. The Spirit of God through Isaiah gives us great detail of satan’s attempt to exercise faith by saying that he would exalt himself and be like the most High. Isaiah 14:13-15 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. The law of faith and confession for promotion only works when we say what God has already said! Ps. 75:6&7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. Many today, like Saul of Tarsus, have to learn that Jesus Christ is Lord of heaven and earth! A third of God’s angel’s foolishly joined with Lucifer in his disastrous attempt to overthrow the most High God. Jesus stated that He witnessed satan’s swift removal from heaven. Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. In the book of beginnings we read of Adam handing his God given dominion over to satan through a moment of lust.
The prophets wrote of how the powers of the unseen kingdoms effected the kingdoms which are seen. Daniel’s angel said that he was sent the very day Daniel set himself to understand but that he had been resisted by the Prince of Persia ( an unseen ruler in satan’s kingdom ) for twenty one days. Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. The prophet Ezekiel calls the unseen ruler over Tyre, king of Tyre, who is satan himself. This became obvious as the Spirit of God describes the king of Tyre as having been in Eden, his great beauty, his musical ability, and that he was the anointed cherub. Ezek 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. The prince of Tyre, who is a man, was so under the influence of satan from the wisdom, riches, and power that satan gave him, that he thought of himself as God. There is a double tiered kingdom with God as well, but He reigns with truth, faith, and righteousness and His children serve Him because they love Him! God has given His children a seat at His right hand in Christ Jesus and the privilege to speak His anointed word which angel’s harken too. Ps. 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to empower those who would obey Him and gave authority in the earth to bind and to loose! Mt. 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
The Spirit of God through Paul reveals the four ranks of satan’s kingdom. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Paul list them in the order of their rank beginning with the lowest level first. Principalities being the lowest, then powers, and listed third are the rulers of the darkness of this world, and finally spiritual wickedness in high places. There is lots of revelation being revealed in this scripture. First of all, people are not our big problem, but rather the evil spirits that are influencing them from the unseen realm. The wrestling that is mentioned reveals that the evil spirits are continually jockeying to steal the word of God and render us ineffective in the building of God’s kingdom. Paul goes on to list the armor of God that we must put on in order to overcome the evil one. He starts out by saying, girt up your loins with truth. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Jesus said, I am the truth and the Holy Spirit is referred to as the Spirit of truth! Our righteousness is vital for our protection! We must be ready to share this gospel of peace! We fend off the attacks of the enemy by faith! Hold fast to your salvation! God does not want us limited to just holding our ground but He wants us to take up the sword of the Spirit and set the captives free. You take up the sword of the Spirit by praying and saying what God has spoken! Eph. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph. 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
God’s unseen host of angel’s hearken to the voice of God’s word!
Mt. 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Heb. 3:1 ASV Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Mt. 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
