First Steps To Glory!

First steps to the glory! : By James Lantz

You can get in on the greater glory that God is releasing in this day and in this hour! It has always been the desire and plan of God for His man to be clothed with glory! When Adam and Eve stole God’s fruit the glory that God placed on them was lifted! God drove Adam and Eve from the garden because of His great love for them. Yes, it was reaping the harvest for their sin, but more importantly, to prevent them from eating of the tree of life and being eternally separated from the Father and from the glory they were created for.  Gen. 3:22&23  And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever. Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden . . .   God has always been gracious and merciful to His man. God waited as long as He could before destroying the wicked upon the earth through the great flood giving them an extended time to repent and turn to Him as their God and a glorious future. When we choose God to be our source and supply we are received into the family that is called by His name.  Isaiah 43:7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory (splendor & honor), I have formed him; yea, I have made him.  God is glorified when we receive His Son, take on His purpose and likeness, putting the kingdom of God and His righteousness first place.  Isaiah 62:3  Thou shalt also be a crown of glory (ornament, beauty, majesty) in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.  Jesus did not pray, if it be thy will, when He prayed that we might be one through the glory that He gave us.  John 17:22  And the glory (dignity honor, praise, worship) which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.

Our heavenly Father is referred to as the Father of glory and He wants us to experience some of His glory right now in this curse filled earth! Jesus showed us that it is the will of the Father for mankind to be blessed in this earth at this time.  John 2:11  This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and

Jesus demonstrated the Father’s will is for you to experience His glory!

manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.  The very first miracle that God desires to give us is the gift of a new heart in which He will reside by His Holy Spirit. The Bible refers to this as being born again, becoming a new creature in Christ, and receiving eternal life. When we are born again we are made righteous through faith in Jesus sacrificial death, sufferings, and resurrection from the dead. This makes it possible for God’s glory to once again come upon all of His children! In this new covenant God said that with Jesus He will also freely give us all things.  Rom. 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  God shares His glory with His people through His manifested presence, His manifested goodness, and His manifested power!  I have been privileged to see rows of people fall under the anointing as God’s power was manifested in a Holy Ghost service. I have personally received healing in my body in another service where the power of God was present. Some years later I received a large financial miracle during a powerful meeting. When I received the healing and the financial miracle there was not any spectacular demonstrations of the Spirit that I recall except the Spirit inspired preaching of the word of God. The glory can be present without seeing a cloud. Healings, miracles, changed lives, and other manifestations of the Spirit are proof that the power of God is present! Many of God’s people are missing the supernatural in their search for the spectacular. They are judging the glory to be absent because they can not see it with their physical eyes.  2 Cor. 5:12  For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.  The manifested glory of God includes the salvation of our households, healing for our bodies, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, relational miracles, financial miracles, and other answered prayers.  John14:21

The scriptures show us the proper protocol to entering God’s presence and experiencing His glory! The Lord instructed Moses to sanctify (clean, prepare, dedicate, and purify) the people today and tomorrow and have them wash their clothes. God said, have them ready to meet with me on the third day when I come to you in the cloud on the mountain. (see Ex. 19:10&11)  When the tabernacle was complete the Lord commanded Moses to have the people cleansed from sin because He wanted to meet with them at the door of the tabernacle with His glory!  Leviticus 9:3&4  . . .  Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering ; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering . . . for today the Lord will appear unto you.  The blood of many animals was shed for the atonement (covering) for sin since God killed the first one and   covered Adam and Eve’s nakedness. Before the priest could enter into the Holy of Holies and come before the mercy seat he was required to make sacrifices to atone for his sins and the sins of the people.  Exodus 29:43  And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.

Jesus has become our sacrificial lamb for the remission (removal) of our sins! Today, God is just as holy as He always was and sin is just as deadly as it was in the garden. Our first steps to getting the glory back was repentance from dead works and faith towards God. Our new relationship with God is maintained by our submission to the leading of His Spirit and obedience to His word! Unlike a relationship with other people we know that God is always right and we are the ones who need to submit. The Holy Spirit tells us through the apostle John that if we are walking in darkness we are in sin and that our fellowship with the Father is broken.  1 John 1:6  If we say that we have fellowship with him (God), and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  1 John 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.   There is only one way for the rebellious one to be restored back into fellowship with the Heavenly Father! The way back is to repent, acknowledge to the Father that we have sinned and confess it to him. God is very gracious to us when we are honest and humble ourselves to Him.  1 John 1:9  If we

Repentance is a gift from God so we can escape judgement!

confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Repentance is a gift from God so we can once again experience the glory of God and escape the judgement of sin. I realize there are some who may want to hold on to their traditions, but I am telling it straight from the word of God for those who want to walk free from sin, sickness, and lack. Their is no fellowship with the Father when sin is present. Sin separates man from God but those who believe and obey the word walk in fellowship with the Father and the Son.  1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.   It becomes obvious when reading verse seven in context with the preceding and following verses that good fellowship is maintained with the Father only by those who walk in the light as Jesus walks in the light. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and God expects us to walk in all the light that we have. Those who find themselves stumbling over the same sin again and again need priority adjustments which will result in lifestyle changes. God looks on the heart and it is the spirit or heart of man that is made righteous in His sight.   2 Cor. 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (also vrs. 21)  Obviously God removed every sin and made us completely righteous  in our spirit (old things were passed away) so that we could have fellowship with Him. We need to properly interpret the scriptures and realize that just one sin is equal to us committing all sins in the eye’s of God. (Joshua 7:20, Luke 18:22, James 2:10)   Worry and being fearful are sins. Loving the things of this world is spiritual adultery. Judging people and not forgiving those who sin against us are sins. Being half hearted about the things of God is a sin. Withholding your love from God and His people is a sin.  Rom. 14:23  . . . for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.  God has sent Jesus to bless us in turning us away from our iniquities.  Acts 3:26  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.  Genuine repentance requires that we be honest with God! If you are not living according to the will of the Father, you are not experiencing His peace and joy and the thief is eating your lunch.  Recognize that Father God has a good plan and a glorious future prepared for you. Humble yourself and acknowledge your sin to God and commit to live the life He has prepared for you and expect the glory of God to show up on your behalf.
