Get Busy!

Get Busy! : By James Lantz

When I say get busy, I am not referring to just adding more activity to your life. The Lord knows the neccesary things that we all need to do to stay spiritually alert, mentally sharp, and physically fit. Feeding our spirit on God’s word, guarding every thought and word, eating God ordained foods and exercising our bodies is all preparation to accomplish what we have been commissioned to do. When I say get busy, I am referring to getting busy doing the Father’s will. We should not be Buried Under Satan’s Yoke, (BUSY). There is a big difference between a frantic flurry of wasteful activity and spirit led, purposeful action that brings eternal results. If you don’t have the time to do a job right, how are you ever going to have the time to make it right. You know what I’m talking about, too busy doing it your way so you never take the time to learn how to do it God’s way. King Asa trusted God to give them victory in battle when he was outnumbered by almost two to one.  2 Chron. 14:11  And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.  Later in his life he had disease in his feet but rather than believe God for healing he put his trust in the physicians and two years later he died.  2 Chron. 16:12  And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians.  I am not suggesting that we should never ask the doctor for help but rather first seek the help of our great physician, Dr. Jesus. King Asa had strong faith in God at one time but apparently it was not so strong later in his life. Faith comes by hearing and faith is released by saying and our faith grows stronger as we continue exercising it.  Heb. 10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  Sin will cause us to be unable to receive from the Father by faith, sin will cause us to lose our confidence.  1 John 3:21 – 23  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  Faith is precious and powerful and we must guard our heart above everything else. Bro. Hagin said when a person fails to receive their healing there is a relationship problem. I don’t know about you, but the things I wasn’t willing to do, I am now doing and the things that were weights to me I am throwing off.   Pro.28:9  He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law (God’s word), even his prayer shall be abomination (an act of idolatry).  It’s amazing how good things work out when we follow the instructions in our owners manuel. It will serve us well to take notice to the things that our Lord likes and to the things that he dislikes. If He likes something then I like it, if He doesn’t like it then I don’t like it. There was an unjust steward who wasted his boss’s goods. When the boss found out about his wasteful ways he said, you may no longer be my steward. Apparently, before his boss stripped him from his receipt book, this rascal went to everyone who owed his boss money and had them deduct 20 – 50 percent off of what they owed. This boss reconized that he had done wisely for himself. One thing he did is he got busy preparing for his future. Jesus used this story to teach us to use our money to gain friends that will be with us in heaven. I believe he is saying put your money to work for you to gain eternal reward.   Luke 16:9 NAS  And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings. People are worth so much more than things!  Luke 16:10 NAS  He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.  Are you properly paying those who work for you, or is your stinginess tempting them to think ill of you. When you make a purchase do you leave with the other one feeling cheated. I am not saying that it is wrong to get a good deal, its how you get it that makes it good. Jesus is the master at putting deals together and both parties are winners. Our Heavenly Father desires  for everyone to accept his gracious gift of Jesus and eternal life. No one with their eyes open would forsake God’s mercy!  Luke 9:23-25 Amp.  And he said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself – that is, disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself – and take up his cross daily, and follow Me (that is, cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example, in living and if need be in dying also). For whoever would preserve his life and save it, will lose and destroy it; but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve and save it (from the penalty of eternal death). For what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and ruins or forfeits (loses) himself?   You may not hear to much these days concerning self denial, but the same principal that gets us in causes us to succeed in the Kingdom of God. Jesus tells the parable about the rich man whose land was fertile and yielded plentifully. He said within himself, what shall I do, my crops are more than my barns will hold. I know what I will do, I will pull down my barns and build bigger barns to store all my goods. I will say to my soul, Soul, you have plenty for many years, take it easy, eat, drink, and be merry!  Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall these things be, which thou hast provided?  This man asked the right question but because he was so full of himself he didn’t come up with the right answer. What if he had sought the Lord’s counsel, and said, whatever you say to me, that is what I will do. But no, it was all about him, what I want, my goods, my barns, my merry life. Remember, this message is about getting busy doing what God has created us for. It won’t be long and we will be gone! Jesus is coming soon! Thank God for the gift of the Holy Ghost who  leads us in the affairs of life and causes us to succeed. James 4:14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  Regardless if someone dies at a young age or at an old age it is but a vapor in the scope of eternity. In order to find the right answers for your life you need to start with the right questions. The right question is, Lord, what do you want me to do. Many people are wandering about the future and what to expect in this coming year. Bro. Copeland said that this will be the best of years and the worst of years, it all depends on whose side you are on. These are going to be rough times for those who refuse to believe.  Ps. 27:13  I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  The starting place with God is placing your life into his care. Commit your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ!  Acts 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Mark 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  You may thinking, I am saved and baptized in water but I just don’t have peace in my life. If you are not doing what you know is right, repent and begin to do what is right. Commit your way unto the Lord. The peace of God will come when you commit to God’s will. If you do not know what the Lord’s will is for your life, ask him, and he will show you. Read God’s word, pray and get into a good church where you will be nutured in the things of God. Your prayer will not be an abomination to God when you seek him diligently with all your heart. There are two main areas in which people fail to receive from God. They are faith and yieldedness. God gave us his word so we could believe and his word will also show us where we need to yield! Whatever you need from God, he has it for you, salvation and forgiveness of sins, Baptism in the Holy Ghost, healing, deliverance, finances, friends, the answer is yes!  2 Cor. 1:20  For all the promises of God in him (Christ) are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.  God is so good!

Luke 16:11 AMP.  Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the case of the unrighteous mammon- the deceitful riches, money, possessions – who will entrust to you the true riches.
