Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through
the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

How To Love God! : By James L. Lantz

All of us know something about love! We appreciate when people show genuine interest in us and care about our well being. Caring is Love! We also know when we are mistreated or treated without love and kindness. God has shown great interest in us by choosing us to be His sons and daughters through Christ Jesus from before the foundation of the world.  Eph. 1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: He made everything for His man, light, land, trees, birds, plants, fish, and animals. Provision is Love! God knew that His precious man would betray Him, but He wanted children who would choose to love Him and serve Him joyfully. God is a good Father and has provided everything for us that pertains to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. It pay’s to gain the knowledge of God through knowing His word. God reveals truth to us as we seek Him in prayer and reading and studying His word, following the Spirit’s promptings, and learning from His ministry gifts. We show God our love through our obedience! It is possible to obey without loving, but Jesus stated that those who love Him will keep His words.  John 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.  Jesus also stated it like this, If you love Me, keep my

You Can Obey Without Loving God But You Can’t Love God Without Obeying Him!

commandments. The diligent ones who read God’s word can’t miss the connection between loving God and obeying Him. The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind, and with all our strength! God is love and He will spend eternity with those who love Him! Jesus warned that as iniquity abounded in the last days the love of many would wax cold. We see that today many confessing believers don’t prioritize attending church but they won’t miss a social or family gathering. Fellowshipping with and exhorting the brethren unto love and good works is vital in our christian walk and a command of our Lord! Then the word of the Lord says!  Heb. 10:26 NLT  Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.  Gathering with the saints, hearing the word of the Lord preached, being exhorted to love and do good works is not about earning forgiveness of sins and eternal life. It’s about our love for God and His people! It’s our desire to be about our Father’s business, to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. Those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. Jesus told parables showing us what the kingdom of God is like. He spoke of a faithful and wise servant who continued serving his master right up until the time of His return. He said, Blessed is that servant who will be promoted to rule over all My goods! Another of his servants starts out doing the master’s will but then says in his heart, my master is taking to long and begins to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken. His master will come on a day he is not expecting him and appoint him his place with the wicked.  Matthew 24:51  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. We who love the Lord Jesus will continue serving Him and be found faithful when He comes! Our good works testify of God’s love for people!  Hebrews 6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  Hebrews 6:11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

The Lord is a great rewarder but love obeys when being rewarded seems to be impossible. Love will obey even when it hurts.  Psalms 15:4  . . . He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.  The scripture does teach, obedience is better than sacrifice. I remember asking the Lord a number of years ago if I should add a certain ministry to our monthly partner giving and I was told to obey is better than sacrifice. This was an enlightening rebuke to me as I realized that giving additionally at that time would not help me to have more time with God and His word which was my greatest need. Don’t misunderstand me, we were already tithing and giving generous offerings on a regular basis. Sacrifice is a necessary ingredient as we serve the Lord and work out our salvation, but remember Jesus words.  Mt. 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you restMt. 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soulsMt. 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.  When Jesus restored Peter into the ministry He didn’t give him a list of things he had to do to be forgiven. He just simply told Peter to show Him that he loved Him more than anyone else by feeding His little children.  John 21:17  He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.  Paul encouraged the saints at Corinth to abound in the grace of giving and prove the sincerity of their love for the brethren at Jerusalem.  2 Corinthians 8:7   Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

Caring for the Lord’s people and that which pertains to His Kingdom is caring for Him. Jesus gave us a new commandment, to love our brothers and sisters in Christ the same way He loved us! As we help God’s people who are thirsty, in need of shelter and clothes, or sick, or in prison we are helping Him!  Mt. 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  The Lord loves His church, He sees us as one with Him! When Jesus arrested Saul of Taurus on the road to Damascus, He said, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me. Saul figured out quickly that Jesus was referring to His body of people.  Acts 9:5  And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

We love God with all of our heart and mind when we meditate on His word day and night!  Psalms 119:97  O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.  The psalmist goes on to say, Lord it is time for You to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.  Psalms 119:127  Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.  We love God by putting our hand to the work to which we are called!  Hag. 1:8  Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.  The Lord takes notice of those who set their love on Him!  Ps. 91:14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.  The beloved Paul says it like this, set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Those Who Put Their Trust In Man Don’t Recognize Real Opportunity!

The Lord says, cursed is the man that trust in man and makes flesh his arm, whose heart has departed from the Lord. He will be like a heath in the desert and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. The amplified classic brings out how it is evil to not trust in the Lord and those who are trusting in themselves cannot see the golden opportunities that God brings along. They live a barren dry life, never flourishing, because they refuse the life of faith and blessing.  Jer. 17:5 AMPC  Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.  Jer. 17:6 AMPC  For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Those who believe in and trust and rely on the Lord see what the Lord is offering and take it and are blessed!  Jer. 17:7 AMPC  [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.  Jer. 17:8 AMPC  For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.  Just as Paul stated there was a great door opened unto him but with many adversaries, God has opened and will open doors of opportunity for us to get the gospel out today! Friend, recognize the opportunity we have been given, right standing with The Father, keys to the kingdom, a place in His body, and a church to build! Those who are after the Spirit do mind the things of the Spirit!

There Are Six Octorara Area School Board Seats Up For Election! (Primary May 20th )
Don’t Be Asleep At This Crucial Time!

Prophetic word for 2025 by Kenneth Copeland – “ Our nation will come alive in 2025 ”

Prophetic word given to Rick Renner in August 2024 for this coming season ( 2024 & 2025 )

A Storm Is Coming – Batten Down The Hatches!
We are headed into a season of intense warfare on many fronts – economic, political, and spiritual. But the Lord is a man of war, and He knows exactly how to strategize against and overcome every assault against His people and against His Truth.
But just as one should batten down the hatches in a time of storms, God’s people must be mentally and spiritually prepared for a stormy season that lies directly ahead. However, with the grace of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the promises of God’s Word, and the weaponry He has given, we can move forward step by step with the strategic guidance of the Holy Spirit. And God will triumphantly lead His people forward and carry out His plans for this end-time age.
This is not a time to fear, moan, or cry, but a time to rejoice, for God is strategically at work even in ways you do not see. Although it may seem the enemy and those he is influencing are attempting to derail God’s purposes, remember that the One who sits in the heavens laughs at their plans, and He will ultimately have them in derision (see Psalm 2:4). God is a Man of War, and in the end, His purposes shall surely prevail!
