God Ordained Authority! Pt.1   By James L Lantz

            There are four distinct areas of God ordained authority that we should recognize and honor. The first area of authority mentioned in the scriptures is when God conferred the blessing to the ones who were made in His likeness to rule the earth.  Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.  This blessing was to empower Adam and Eve, and every individual that would come after them, to be fruitful and have dominion over every living thing in the earth except another person. Adam rebelled against God when he knowingly chose to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which God had said, you must not eat of it, for in the day you eat of it you shall surely die. Adam’s disobedience brought in the curse and subjected every individual to the law of sin and death. As men multiplied in the earth and used their authority consistently for that which was evil, God had to destroy every living being except for Noah and his household. God then reestablished the blessing with righteous Noah and his sons and their seed after them. When reinstating the blessing God specifically emphasized an individual’s right to life in stating that any man or beast that murders someone must die.  Gen. 9:6  Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

God Has Ordained That Every Person Has A Right To Live!

Each of us have been authorized with the right to choose either the blessing or the curse. This God ordained privilege to choose life or death has not been delegated to the governor, the pastor, nor to our parents, but rather to the individual. Deut. 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:  We get to choose, and God in His goodness tells us to choose life! We receive eternal life when we receive Jesus as our Lord! We need not be surprised that our faith in Jesus had to be activated by confessing His lordship over our lives since death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Rom. 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  Again and again we see how God honors the authority that He has given to the individual. Phrases like, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, what things soever you desire, and according to your faith be it unto you, reveals that God has authorized you the individual to receive from Him. There are times when we can exercise faith and use our authority to bring blessing to others like when Rahab believed for the protection of her family.

            The second area of authority that God has authorized is the family. God said that it is not good for a man to be alone so He made a help meet for him. God took a rib from Adam and made a woman and brought her to him. Gen. 2:23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Gen. 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  God established rank andorder in the family for the sake of unity, peace, and safety. God made the wife to be a help meet to her husband and the husband to be a protector to his wife and children. Adam failed to protect Eve by refusing to open his mouth and call out the lie spoken contradicting the word of God.  Genesis 2:17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.  Adam, being formed first, was not deceived, he knew exactly what God had said, but he took of the fruit anyway.  1 Tim. 2:14 WNT  and Adam was not deceived, but his wife was thoroughly deceived, and so became involved in transgression.  Sin brings death and condemnation and thus Adam and Eve tried to cover it and were hiding out when God came looking for them. God called to Adam first because he was authorized to be the head of the home but he refused to take responsibility for his sin blaming God and his wife.  Gen. 3:12  And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.  Gen. 3:13  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.  Thankfully God is merciful and forgives those who acknowledge their sin and turn from it!  Pro. 28:13  He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.  Jesus took our sins upon Himself and gave us His righteousness! Husbands are anointed to be the head of their wife like

He Who Finds A Wife Finds A Treasure And Receives Favor From The LORD!

Jesus is the head of the church. The husband is the head of his wife in things pertaining to the home but Christ is her spiritual head. Children are a blessing from the Lord! It should be pretty obvious that God has placed children under the authority of the parents He has chosen for them and not the government.  Eph. 6:1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.  God blesses those who obey and honor their parents with well being and a long life!

           The third area of God ordained authority is government. Government leaders and workers are ministers of God ordained to work for our good. They are authorized with the power of the sword to punish evil doers.  Rom. 13:1&2 CEV  Obey the rulers who have authority over you. Only God can give authority to anyone, and he puts these rulers in their places of power. People who oppose the authorities are opposing what God has done, and they will be punished.  This scripture along with others reveal that their authority comes from God because there is not anything made that was not made by Him and for Him. God is the One who removes kings and sets up kings. God wants us to learn from history so He supplied us the length of the reign of Israel and Judah’s kings. A wicked king would have his reign shortened as in the case of Zachariah the son of Jeroboam who only reigned over Israel in Samaria for six months.  2 Kings 15:9  And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.  Evil men do not understand judgement but those who seek the Lord understand all things. The purpose of government is to do us good and to punish evildoers. The number one job of our president is to keep the citizens of the United States safe from enemies abroad and within! Enemies are not only those who want to shoot us but also those who want to enslave us physically, financially, pharmaceutically and separate us from our God. Today we are witnessing a president who is welcoming murderers, terrorist, drug dealers, and sex traffickers to illegally enter our country while naming parents domestic terrorist and targeting them through the Department Of Justice. It was God who ordained that Dads and Moms would bring children into this world and care for them, not Uncle Sam. Don’t think for a minuet that demanding healthy children to be masked is about keeping them healthy but rather about control. Dr. Simone Gold reveals that studies show that there was not one healthy child who died from covid but only those children who were obese or had a compromised immune system from other illnesses.        TO BE CONTINUED!
