Nehemiah 2:18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

Make It Plain! : By James L Lantz

Make things plain and keep them simple so all God’s people can understand! Jesus would often use parables in bringing spiritual truths to the people of His day. He spoke of sowing the Word of God as a man would plant a seed into the earth and how that seed would produce after its own kind. We were taught to receive the Word of God with joy and gladness and how we must overcome affliction and persecution to get our reward! Jesus revealed additionally how the enemy would use the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things to lure us away from attending to God’s word and ultimately away from our harvest.  Luke 8:15  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.  With God, its all about the heart, for with the heart man believes! Faith, Hope, and Love are all of the heart. Jesus brought us light and revelation that had been previously hidden since the foundation of the world. Without love speaking in tongues is just noise, like sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. Without love, good deeds bring no eternal reward. Everyone of us knows something about walking in love! We all know when others don’t treat us right and therefore we know on the inside how we are to treat others. The golden rule is still golden! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!

1 Cor. 13:4-8 ESV Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. . . .

Jesus made things really plain, He said, Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. There is a note in the Amplified Classic Bible of how repentance includes a regret for past sins and a change of mind and conduct!  Mark 1:15 AMPC  And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).  It’s a new day! Genuine repentance allows us to experience the joy of the Lord and to be totally free from condemnation since our sins have been remitted by the blood of Jesus. We are born into the family of God with a desire for the sincere milk of His Word that we might grow thereby. Our spiritual growth, like our physical and mental growth, requires cooperation and effort on our part, but desire gets us started and keeps us growing. God commands us to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, but the choice is totally up to us! On the day of Pentecost it was those who gladly received His word that received eternal life and the infilling of the Holy Spirit! The Blessing of the Lord is on the one who fears Him and delights greatly in His commandments! Strong desire mixed with faith allows us to receive our prayers answered !  Mark 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  At one time I was ignorant of how the Holy Spirit will often lead God’s people through desires He puts in their heart. Spiritual gifts will be nonexistent where they are not desired and faith is scorned. You may say, who would scorn faith, yet all who reject hearing the word of God are rejecting faith, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Those who are preoccupied with other things get exactly the same results as those who hate the preached word!

The vision needs to be written so that it is plain for all who will run with it! Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the good news of redemption to everyone! This is the best news that fallen man could ever hear! Your sins have been remitted through the blood of Jesus and a new life is yours for the asking! He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned. God’s warning of what happens to those who refuse to believe in His Son may not seem like good news but it sure is helpful information in the decision making process.

What is God doing in these days? In Noah’s day God was strengthening the righteous ones for the work of building the ark for the fulfillment of His plan. Under David’s leadership Israel was being nurtured in the ways of God and becoming strong.  Psalms 78:72  So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.  In Solomon’s time they built the temple. Nehemiah and his group rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. The Lord spoke through Haggai that He wanted His people to rebuild His temple and they got after it. Today, God is raising up strong believers and strong churches to exhort, teach, and train those who are new in the Lord and to edify all.

Preaching and teaching is the number one assignment given to the church! Jesus commissioned us, His disciples today, to go into all the world preaching and teaching the life changing word of God that men might believe and be saved, healed, and delivered! This is foolishness to those who do not believe but it is the power of God to those of us who believe and are saved. Rom. 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  Teaching the word of God is the cure for unbelief! People may not hear it the first time the word is preached in their presence. Some people never grasp the word of God that brings salvation, healing, deliverance, and victory over every obstacle in life.  Romans 10:17 WNT  And this proves that faith comes from a Message heard, and that the Message comes through its having been spoken by Christ.  Some people don’t want to hear so they just close their ears. Some don’t hear because in their mind it is some other way. Thank God for those who will hear! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God! God’s will is for all to be saved and come into the family of God. Anyone who believes that God said, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved and calls on Him will be saved. It is the same for healing, anyone who believes that Jesus bore their sicknesses and carried their diseases can call on Him and be healed.  Mt. 8:17  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.  The preaching of the word is vital because if people do not hear they will not believe and if they do not believe they will not call on the Lord to be saved, healed, and delivered.  Romans 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  The hearing part requires our cooperation in hearing what the Spirit is saying! Hearing is involved in the planting of the seed of the Word of God and hearing is required in the watering of the word of God. The temptation is to skip the hearing part but there is no harvest without the hearing part. Multitudes came to hear Jesus and to be healed of their diseases!  Luke 5:15  But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.  Our gracious heavenly Father qualified us to receive of the inheritance purchased through the life of His Son! The infilling of the Holy Spirit is for us as well!  Acts 2:4 ASV And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Thank you Lord!

REMEMBER TO USE GOD’S METHODS TO OBTAIN HIS RESULTS!

Update On The Lands And Building Project!

We received our Driveway Permit from PennDot on July 25th for our Church property! A few days later we held a pre construction meeting with the inspector and contractors. Road Work Ahead signs were purchased and put up! Excavation began by pulling topsoil back from road frontage area where driveway was to be constructed. Surveyors came the next day and staked out the area for the driveway. Our excavator dug out area for driveway and brought in stone. Macadam was installed at the entrance. Final grading and stone for the balance of driveway and seeding to be completed soon!

Write the vision, and make it plain that he may run that readeth it.

God is right! He is always right! When we adapt His thoughts we are thinking right! Building God’s church mainly consist of bringing God’s thoughts, His word, to people so they can embrace the truth and have good success by putting it into their daily lives. However, there are processes that aid in educating, tools that accelerate our work, and buildings that accommodate our meetings. Having our own church building is like a family owning their own home. When you have your own home you are not subject to the landlord telling you what you can’t do and that he wants you to move out at the end of your lease. Owning your own place gives you more freedom to customize it to your own taste and needs plus you are the beneficiary of improvements that you make or when property values increase.
God likes beauty and things looking very good! In creation God spoke about His work being good and after He created His man and woman He said this is very good!  Gen. 1:31  And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.  God is a God of precision and excellence! God gave specific detailed instructions to Moses in the building of the tabernacle. God gave David His plan for the temple and David said, it must be exceeding magnifical!  1 Chronicles 22:5  And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.  God hasn’t changed, He is still the same God today that David and Solomon knew.
It took Solomon seven years to build God’s temple. It was beautiful and magnificent standing ninety feet tall, a testimony of His greatness and His goodness to His people! God said this about David, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

There are people today who want to make God’s things casual and say God doesn’t care about His things being done with beauty, dignity, and honor. God used to care, did He change, or did His messengers begin to change the message.  Exodus 28:2  And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.  It was God’s idea for His priests to be dressed for glory and beauty. Peter referred to everyone in the body of Christ as a royal priesthood, we have been qualified by the blood of Jesus to enter into that holy place and come before His mercy seat.  1 Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  God is looking at our hearts but what is in our heart will show up on the outside! The fruit will show up on the outside where everyone can see it and taste it!

Building God’s church today is just as crucial for us as it was for Noah and his family to build the ark. The ark was for the saving of his household and the church today is a place of safety for our family. Everyone of us can do something and God wants everyone involved according to our ability.
God spoke to those who had rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and had built nice homes for themselves but procrastinated in building God’s house.  Haggai 1:7&8  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.  The Blessing of the Lord comes on those who put building God’s house a priority! This is a revelation, Give and it shall be given unto you!
