Ephesians 6:14-18 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth . . . And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always . . .

Fight The Good Fight! : James L. Lantz

The good fight Paul refers to in his first letter to Timothy is the fight of faith. For it is through faith that we lay hold of eternal life, healing, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, provision, and every blessing that Christ purchased for us.  1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.  The reason it is a good fight is because Jesus, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, defeated death, hell, and the grave and gave us the victory!  Heb. 2:14  For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  God knew who would believe and receive the victorious life that Jesus gives before we were formed in our mothers womb.  Psalms 139:16 ESV  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Our part of the victory is to believe and confess that salvation is ours! In ourselves we are no match for the devil but Jesus defeated him for us!  John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  The devil works to keep people from seeing the truth of redemption through Christ! He can’t stop anyone from believing God when they see the truth but he will lie and do his best to get you too put off committing your life to Christ or put off receiving your healing. There is a fight to get into faith and there is a fight to stay in faith. Staying in faith requires our continual feeding and meditating on God’s word so we don’t slip back into the cares of this world, the love of money, and the lust of other things. We must not be slothful because it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God. Patience includes the meaning of enduring long when necessary. Faith begins when the will of God is known! People often think that faith is something that they have to do in order to get God to do something, but the opposite is true. Faith is our positive response to what God has already provided for us!  Heb. 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.  Heb. 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.  God showed Himself strong to Israel by delivering them from Egyptian bondage, parting the Red Sea, and destroying Pharaoh’s army, yet they still magnified the walls of the cities and the height of the giants over the power of God. Unbelief must be removed for your faith to work! Jesus disciples asked Him why they couldn’t cast the demon out of the boy having epileptic seizures, He said, its because of your unbelief. This kind of unbelief has to be removed through prayer and fasting.  Mt. 17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Paul gives us the example of Jesus fighting the good fight of faith with His words before Pontius Pilate.  1 Tim. 6:13 ESV  I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession,  Many of us know the scripture, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Jesus used His words skillfully. Remember how Jesus only spoke of Lazarus as being dead when His disciples couldn’t grasp what He was saying about him being asleep. FAITH CALLS THOSE THINGS THAT BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE! The weapons of our warfare are not carnal or fleshly. The only offensive weapon mentioned with the armor of God is the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God spoken from the mouth. This is exactly how Jesus ran the devil off when He was tempted in the wilderness to turn stones into bread, to throw Himself down, and to bow to satan. Jesus didn’t use any special weapon to resist the devil other than which is given to us as well. He said, it is written, it is also written, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve. Great pressure was on Jesus when He faced giving His life on the cross. He told His disciples, I am going to Jerusalem where I will be betrayed, condemned, crucified, and raised from the dead on the third day!
Today many are dull of hearing concerning Jesus soon return as the disciples were of His departure. Satan knew Jesus was the Messiah when the Father spoke from heaven, This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Jesus knew He was the lamb of God that must be slain for the sins of the world from a young age. He knew He must not speak anything contrary to His Father’s will.  Isaiah 53:7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. When

Jesus Refused To Speak His Deliverance From The Death On The Cross!

the officers and band of men came to arrest Jesus, He spoke up, Whom seek ye, and they said Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said, I am he, and they all went backward and fell to the ground by the power of God.  John 18:8  Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:  Jesus spoke up that His disciples could go free! Peter wasn’t comprehending God’s plan of Jesus being taken and the rest of them going free so he pulls out his sword and cuts off the ear of the high priests servant jeopardizing their freedom. Jesus fixed the problem by healing Malchus ear. Peter was shaken to hear Jesus say, put up your sword, don’t you know that I could call for twelve legions of angels.  Matthew 26:54 NLT  But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?  Jesus was arrested and taken to the home of the high priest where He was questioned, accused, and beaten. Jesus wouldn’t answer the high priest until he demanded, I adjure you by the living God to tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus refrained from saying, I AM He, like in the garden where the power of God knocked them backwards! Mt. 26:64  Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.  When Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, are you the King of the Jews, He said, Thou sayest. Pilate sent Jesus to Herod when he found that He was from Galilee but Jesus answered Herod not a word. Upon receiving Jesus back from Herod, Pilot hears the accusation, “He made Himself to be the Son of God”, causing him to be more afraid. Pilate then asks, where are you from, and upon receiving no answer, he threatens Jesus with, don’t you know I have the power to release you. John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. Jesus modeled so wonderfully how to fight the good fight of faith by what He said and by what He didn’t say when under extreme pressure! He didn’t say anything that would have caused Him to be released or you and I would be lost! Previously Jesus walked right through the crowd, or his would be captors would say, never any man spoke as this man. This time He gave Himself up to be the sacrificial lamb!

It is often appropriate to speak up in your own defense as Paul did when he was bound and about to be unlawfully beaten. Acts 22:25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
God is pleased to see His children overcome that which the enemy has wrought through the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and loving Him above their own life. Heb. 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

God rewards us according to our faithfulness!

The kingdom of heaven is like a man who traveled into a far country and called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods. He gave one five talents, another two, and to another one, according to each ones ability and then went on a journey. The one with five talents worked with the five he had and gained five more. The servant with the two talents also worked and increased until he had two more talents. The one who only received the one talent from His master buried his. After a long time their master returned to see what they had done with the talent He had given them. The Lord commended his servants that had increased and doubled the
talents he had given them. He said the same thing to each servant who was faithful and brought forth increase.

Mt. 25:23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

We see a picture of how our Lord Jesus will reward everyone who is faithful! It appears that both the servant given the five talents and the one given the two talents received the same reward. God is the one who gives each one of us our individual ability and the talents with which to work. God is a rewarder and He is just and fair, not showing partiality to anyone. The one who received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard master and that you reap where you haven’t sown and I was afraid and hid your talent in the earth. Here, take what is yours. ( Everything we have is from the Lord, everything that was made was made for His pleasure, including us with our individual abilities. )

1 Cor. 4:7  For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
Rom. 11:35  Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Rom. 11:36  For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

We need to be honest, God is a God of increase! Adam’s job was take care of God’s earth and to multiply, not to take that which doesn’t belong to him. The Lord answered the servant ( one of His own ) who hid His talent in the earth. You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reaped where I haven’t sown. You should have at least taken my money and put it in the bank that I might receive interest with that which is mine!

Mt. 25:28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Mt. 25:29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Mt. 25:30  And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God rewards faithfulness with goodness! The reward of the wicked is not good. Notice how in the kingdom of God those who refuse to embrace God’s way and God’s plan will lose even what they have. The servant who buried his talent had a wrong image and understanding of who God is and what God requires. God is great! He is the Almighty God, so glorious that no man can see His face and live. The One who made all things and the One Whom we will give an account to. I believe everyone has opportunity to hear those words, Well done, thou good and faithful servant! Heed the words of Jesus, The Master.

Mt. 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

At the age of twenty one Brother Gary began to pastor his first church. Brother Gary pastored a couple of churches in central Pennsylvannia for the next 5 years. In 1986 Brother Gary moved his family out to Indianna to sit under Lester Summural,s ministry. During this time he lived with and worked with Bob and Nancy Palmer. During this time the Lord spoke a scripture to Brother Gary which exhorted him to let his hands be strong that God’s temple might be built.
Zechariah 8:9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

In 1987 Brother Gary began traveling and ministering as an itinerant minister. In the last nineteen years Brother Gary has emphasized making your church not only a word church but a Holy Ghost church as inspired by Brother Hagin’s “2003” prophesy.

Brother Gary has held a number of Gospel Tent meetings for us as well as for other Pastors in the United States. Brother Gary’s heart is for the lost to be saved and for the church to flow with The Spirit. Brother Gary flows with the anointing of The Spirit and in gifts of The Spirit in his ministry. Prophetic word for 2025 by Kenneth Copeland – “ Our nation will come alive in 2025 ”

Prophetic word given to Rick Renner in August 2024 for this coming season ( 2024 & 2025 )

A Storm Is Coming – Batten Down The Hatches!
We are headed into a season of intense warfare on many fronts – economic, political, and spiritual. But the Lord is a man of war, and He knows exactly how to strategize against and overcome every assault against His people and against His Truth.
But just as one should batten down the hatches in a time of storms, God’s people must be mentally and spiritually prepared for a stormy season that lies directly ahead. However, with the grace of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the promises of God’s Word, and the weaponry He has given, we can move forward step by step with the strategic guidance of the Holy Spirit. And God will triumphantly lead His people forward and carry out His plans for this end-time age.

This is not a time to fear, moan, or cry, but a time to rejoice, for God is strategically at work even in ways you do not see. Although it may seem the enemy and those he is influencing are attempting to derail God’s purposes, remember that the One who sits in the heavens laughs at their plans, and He will ultimately have them in derision (see Psalm 2:4). God is a Man of War, and in the end, His purposes shall surely prevail!
