Receive The Holy Spirit’s Help In Your Prayers!  By James Lantz

We have highlighted some of the most important things about prayer.  1. God’s ears are open to hear the prayers of the righteous because righteousness is the scepter of God’s kingdom!  2. Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus!  3. Believe you receive when you pray!  4. Forgive if you have ought against any!  5. Receive the Holy Spirit’s help in your prayers!  Follow these prayer rules to have a successful and fruitful prayer life. It is vain to think that we can accomplish our God given mission without accessing and utilizing God’s supernatural gifts. The meek shall inherit the earth! The meek are those who are teachable or you might say those who will follow God’s instructions. God instructed us to pray so that He can release His power and grace on our behalf. Moses writes by the Spirit that he was the meekest man in all the earth. Again and again we read, God said, and Moses did! Moses was not leading God’s people just anywhere he wanted but only where God said to go. Moses built the tabernacle exactly like God said.    Exodus 25:8&9 CEV  I also want them to build a special place where I can live among my people. Make it and its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.  We are God’s tabernacle today and it should not surprise anyone that God wants a holy house to live in and that it is to be called a house of prayer. Those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of

Rule and reign in life through Christ’s abundant grace and the gift of righteousness!

righteousness shall rule and reign in this life.  Rom. 5:17 WNT  For if, through the transgression of the one individual, Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God’s overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ.  Adam was given dominion to rule over all the earth but when he rebelled and yielded his authority to Satan God sent the second Adam. Jesus is the second Adam who purchased our redemption and restored authority to those who would come under His Lordship! Additional grace is available to those who humble themselves and submit to His plan for their lives. Following the Holy Spirit’s leading and receiving His help in prayer is vital to our receiving more grace.  James 4:6  But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Our next step upon receiving eternal life is to receive the free gift of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Paul found certain disciples at Ephesus and asked them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? When we are born from above we are born of the Spirit but God offers additional grace in filling us with His Spirit. Jesus refers to being born of the Spirit as the well of water and the infilling of the Holy Spirit as the river of water. The well of water is for us personally but the river of water is the abundance of grace for ministry. Jesus instructed the early believers to wait until they were filled with power from on high before taking the gospel to other.   Acts 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Our heavenly Father sent the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost as a special gift to the church. Today believers are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit!   Eph. 5:18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;   God wants us so full of Himself that we are totally carefree and full of joy all the time. We can have fun taking this power of God to the world! Marks’ gospel reveals five supernatural signs as evidence of the Holy Spirits’ power at work through those who believe. Believers shall cast out devils and speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover. All five of these are made possible through the power of the Holy Spirit and are for every believer including speaking in tongues.  Acts 2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  God gives us the utterance in our spirit and we by faith speak it out. Some  believers will not be used in giving a tongue or interpretation publicly, but all believers everywhere are offered the gift of tongues for personal worship, fellowship, and communication with the Father, and a way to stay fully charged.  1 Cor. 14:2  For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. The precious gift of tongues and interpretation of tongues are special for this

Praying in the Spirit refers to praying with other tongues!

dispensation of grace in which we live. This is an awesome privilege to pray out mysteries, speak to the Father on His level, receive His wisdom, edify ourselves, and keep it all hidden from the devil.  Jude 20  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Pray according to the Holy Spirit’s leading! The Good News Translation of Ephesians six eighteen actually says pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads.  Eph. 6:18 GNT  Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.  There are many choices and decisions that we constantly need God’s wisdom and direction on. In Romans eight Paul writes that God’s sons are led by the Spirit of God.  Rom. 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  The sons of God spoken of in this verse refer to those who are mature sons. Carnal immature children of God are led by what they see, feel, and think but those who mature realize that the fulfillment of God’s plan for their life is their gain and His glory. The Israelites trained their boys in the Pentateuch so that at the age of twelve they were mature to know the ways of God. The Contemporary English Version reads, Our inner thoughts are a lamp from the Lord, and they search our hearts (Pro. 20:27). We are one spirit with the Lord so it should not seem strange that God would speak to us through our thoughts. The Spirit of God through Paul calls our inability to know what to pray for as we should an infirmity.  Rom. 8:26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. This is the Spirit of God helping us to pray out things we don’t know how to pray for as we should.  Rom. 8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  Rom. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Sometimes people take part of this verse and say that all things work together for good but that is not what God said. Accidents, tragedies, tornadoes, sickness, lack, and persecution are not the will of God. These are all part of the curse that Jesus redeemed us from. What these verses actually say is, after you have prayed in the Spirit or as the Spirit leads and have done what God said to do and are putting the kingdom of God first place then God will make everything work for your good. Those who love God and those whom God loves are in two different categories. God loves everyone and does not want anyone to be separated from Himself for all of eternity in hell, however he leaves the choice of loving Him up to us. Jesus said, If you love Me you will obey Me. Love demands a response!
