Matthew 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Receiving Greatness: By James L Lantz
Greatness is not valued by everyone for various reasons. As for the greatness of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, some don’t value Him not wanting to yield, while others don’t recognize who He is. He is the Son of God, God’s gift to the world, and the only way to the Father! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I once had a Muslim man say to me, Jesus never said he was the Son of God. Muslims believe that Jesus lived and that he was a great prophet, but they do not believe that he is The Son Of God and the only way to the Father. However, we know from the Holy scriptures that Jesus testified that He is the Son of God! John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? Jesus spoke plainly to the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well that He was the long awaited Messiah. Jesus revealed to the man healed from blindness in the ninth chapter of John that He was the Son of God! On the night of His betrayal Jesus was pressed by the high priest, are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
God always has a people who recognize who He is and fear Him and receive of His goodness. Pro. 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Able, Eve’s second born, recognized and received God’s greatness by bringing Him an offering of his first and his best. Others may see what we offer God but God accepts offerings according to the love and faith in the heart of the giver. Enoch so valued spending time with God! Noah believed the word of the Lord! Heb. 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Abram believed the call of God, left his homeland, lived his life in tents as a foreigner, refused to consider going back as he was looking towards the city built by God. Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. We are also commanded to set our affections on things above. Col. 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Other translations say set your mind on things above. Paul warned us by the Spirit of God in his letter to the Romans that those who have their minds set on the things of the flesh will reap death. This doesn’t mean that we can’t plan our meals or shop for clothes, it simply means that our dominate desires and thoughts are to be about pleasing the Father and fulfilling that which He has called us to. Rom. 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Being depressed and without joy, or being sick, or struggling financially, are forms of death. Fixing our thoughts on the problems of life or a sickness that plagues our body is not the way to get victory and healing. We are to find God’s word that gives us the answer and meditate on that until we see ourselves with God’s provision. Meditate on who you are In Christ, what you have In Christ, and what you can do In Christ and you won’t be depressed!
Jesus referenced the Queen of Sheba as an example of one who recognized greatness. She traveled to the end of the earth to see King Solomon’s greatness and hear his wisdom bringing him gifts of 120 talents of gold, a great store of spices, and precious stones. Jesus contrasted her lengthy and lavish response to some of his own countrymen who didn’t show any interest in Him though they lived in His town. Mt. 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Many disciples walked away when they heard Jesus message about eating His flesh and drinking His blood. Then Jesus asked the twelve, will you go also, and Peter spoke up, to whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life.
Recognizing our need for salvation and that Jesus is the Savior brings us to a point of decision. Paul refers to this as being enlightened with the next step being to receive Jesus, the heavenly gift. Heb. 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost. Receiving Jesus is receiving greatness! Instantly we are transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of God! Colossians 1:13&14 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: In the kingdom of God we have all the benefits and blessings that come with being a child of God. Everything that pertains to life and godliness is made available to us through the knowledge of God. ( 2 Pet. 1:3 ) Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law that the blessing of Abraham might come on us! ( Gal. 3:13&14 ) We access or receive this promise of the Spirit through faith!
Celebrating America’s 250 Years Of Christian Liberty!
It is no small feat for the united States of America to still be standing for 250 years.
We, the people of the United States of America, have been far from perfect but by God’s grace and providential care we have been preserved until this day.
The United States was founded by people who loved God and wanted to be able to worship Him as they believed and understood! The thing that makes America great is the commitment and consecration made to God by our founding fathers and others through these years. Our Constitution was formed with prayers to God with the Bible being the most influential document it is based on. The thing that will keep us great is our love and service to our Lord Jesus Christ and honoring His Holy Word.
The first Amendment gives us five great privileges!
Freedom to worship God.
Freedom of speech.
Freedom of press.
Freedom to peaceably assemble.
The privilege to petition our government for the redress of grievances.
The Second Amendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms!
( The purpose is that our government shall not rule us as a tyrant. )
Many lies have been told about our founding fathers and our early leaders in an attempt to remove patriotism from our young people but hearing the truth is inspiring us.
Lies have been spoken about the wickedness of our founding fathers concerning slavery, but the truth is, many wanted our constitution to forbid slavery. Later a civil war was fought to end slavery with slavery eventually being abolished. We can celebrate the fact
that it is against the law to own another human being in America! Today’s fight is for the life of the unborn and the protection of the children. Freedom must be contended for in every generation. Let’s fight for freedom at the ballot box!
Andrew Wommack hosted David and Tim Barton on his Gospel Truth Television program
bringing out great history about our founding fathers and revealing lies told about our nation.
David Barton is a christian historian and founder of wall builders www.wallbuilders.com
David Barton has one of the largest collections of original documents of the founding fathers
Revealed that the republican party was founded in 1854 on the twin pillars of barbarism, slavery and polygamy

Bro Brian emphasized the importance of watering the seed of God’s word in his evening service. The first time we hear the word of God preached it is being planted and every time after that is watering the seed of God’s word. 1 Cor. 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. Notice that the first two parts require effort from us. We have to go to where the message is being preached or taught. The third part is God’s part and He always rewards everyone who releases faith towards Him! In the day we live in the word of God is being preached on many venues and even brought right to our devises. Bro. Brian reminded us of Jesus response when Bro. Hagin asked Him why so many of God’s people are still sick. Jesus said, it is because they have rejected the watering process. Every gardener knows that when they plant their peas and string beans they don’t get a harvest the very next day. There will be no harvest if there are no waterings!
