Psalms 146:9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Saying The Same Thing! :By James L Lantz

God wants His people all on the same page, so to speak. There is one Heavenly Father who is above all, one Lord Jesus Christ who gave His life for us, and one Holy Spirit who indwells each and every child of God and these Three are One. God wants His people functioning as one body, minding and saying the same things!  Phil. 2:2 ESV  complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. As we attend to and rightly divide God’s word we will all be hearing and saying that which comes from the Father. Peter verifies that the word he received from God in writing his epistles was clearer or more sure than when he heard the audible voice of God on the mountain.  2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

The Spirit of God emphasized through Paul’s first Corinthian letter the importance of saying only that which God has said.  1 Corinthians 1:10  Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  Choosing to say what God has already said brings an increase of power and unity into the church. Being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to wrath allows us to avoid many arguments. God does not want us divided and in strife.  James 3:16  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.  Human beings have a tendency to think that our way of doing things or the way we were taught, is the right way, while none of us know everything. Jesus came preaching that men must repent and believe the gospel! Repentance is to have a change of mind which leads to changed words and actions. Our initial repentance from dead works and faith towards God includes acknowledging that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that we have turned away from sin. We had to repent (change) from thinking we were good enough in our own works to acknowledging Jesus as the only way to righteousness and eternal life.  1 Pet. 1:18 ASV  knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;  1 Peter 1:19 ASV  but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, even the blood of Christ: We enter the kingdom of God through speaking faith filled words concerning what God has done and we continue to receive of God’s grace through this same kingdom law.  Heb. 4:14 ASV  Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. The Holy Spirit is ready to move wherever faith is released! Hosts of angels are here in the earth waiting to hear us voicing God’s word!  Ps. 103:20  Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

The majority of the Israelites whom God delivered from Egyptian bondage, quit saying, we are going to live in the land flowing with milk and honey, and began to say, we are not able to go in. God fully expected His people, whom He had miraculously preserved and delivered from Pharaoh’s cruel grip, to trust His ability to bring them safely into the promised land. Instead, they allowed themselves to be tainted with unbelief through the evil report of ten of the leaders who spied the land. They spoke against God, saying, we can’t possess the land of Canaan, the people are strong and of great stature, they have walled cities, and some of them are giants. The whole congregation began to weep aloud and murmur against Moses and Aaron saying it would be better to die in the wilderness than to have our wives and children fall by the sword. They spoke of picking new leaders and returning to Egypt. Joshua and Caleb rent their clothes and declared to all the people, the land is truly an exceeding good land and by faith we can take the land.  Numbers 14:8&9  If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.  Israel refused to be persuaded and spoke of stoning Joshua and Caleb when the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel. God extended mercy to those rebels by giving them manna the rest of their days and causing their clothes to not wear out but they did not get to enjoy the goodness of the land. Joshua and Caleb held fast to their confession of faith for forty years and then went in and enjoyed the promised land. Through faith and patience we inherit the promises!

Jesus often confessed who He was and what He came to do! He would declare that He only said and did what He heard and saw the Father say and do!  John 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.  In searching for a reason to condemn Jesus the high priest asked Him a second time, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?  Mark 14:62  And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.  The time came when Jesus began telling His disciples how His mission included suffering and being killed in Jerusalem, and then being raised again on the third day. When Peter heard Jesus say that He would die in Jerusalem he took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, Be it far from you Lord, this shall not happen to you. Jesus responded swiftly and sternly because He could not allow Himself to entertain any thoughts contrary to the Father’s plan.  Mt. 16:23  But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.  Jesus warned of our being held accountable on judgement day for every non productive word we speak.

A certain sect of believing Pharisees arose telling Paul and Barnabas that gentile believers must be circumcised and commanded to keep the law of Moses. Paul and Barnabas strongly disagreed and debated with these brethren until they decided to take this question to the apostles at Jerusalem. The apostles agreed with Paul and Barnabas saying that circumcision and keeping the law of Moses was not a requirement for gentiles who come to Christ. They listed four things that gentile believers must abstain from. Abstain from and avoid anything that has been polluted by being offered to idols, all sexual impurity, and meat from animals that have been strangled, and tasting blood.   Acts 15:29  That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well.  Fare ye well. The apostles who walked with Jesus and understood that the gift of righteousness is recieved through faith agreed with Paul who received this revelation directly from the Holy Spirit! We are to be saying the same thing!

Jesus is raised from the dead and He is Lord! We are new creatures in Christ! We have the life of God in us! The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death! Through Adam’s sin death reigned over all, much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ! We have been bought with a price and we are not our own! This world is not our home! Jesus is soon to appear for a glorious church!

REMEMBER TO USE GOD’S METHODS TO OBTAIN HIS RESULTS!

Update On The Lands And Building Project!

     The Lord has given us clarity on the the design of the church building and location of the driveway. Driveway permit process has brought some PennDot requested revisions and we are expecting to get the permit soon. PRAISE THE LORD!

Investors will share in the reward for every salvation, every backslider who comes back to God, every one who receives the baptism in the Holy Spirit, every person healed, delivered and restored, instructed and trained in the way of righteousness through this ministry. Jesus stated that where our treasure is, there will our heart be also. Our heart follows that which we value highly. David set his affection on God’s house and prepared for the building of God’s house with all his might and he finished well. Every seed we sow into kingdom projects secures a reward for us in heaven and brings forth a harvest in the earth after it’s own kind, plus we are keeping our heart close to God. God loves His people and will not with hold any good thing from those that love Him and are joined to His purposes. All who value our Lord’s command to not lay up treasure on earth for ourselves must keep our motivation for accumulation of wealth to be for distribution!

You can have a part in this great work regardless of your current financial status. God is looking for people who are willing to give from what they have! Jesus will take the little and make it into a lot! In the scriptures we hear things like, what do you have in your house, or give according to what you have and not according to what you don’t have. Paul praises the liberality of those in the Macedonia churches who gave cheerfully even though they were experiencing much lack in their own lives.  2 Cor. 8:2  How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.  Paul then tells how they intreated him to please receive their gift! God was pleased with their faith and willingness to give from the little that they had. If we have desire but have nothing to give, God wants us to ask Him for seed. The same God who gives us food to eat, and multiplies the seed we have sown, is the God who gives seed to the sower.  2 Corinthians 9:10  Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;

This is good news! God is looking at our heart and not at how much we have or don’t have in our earthy account. Jesus said, I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against My church. You and I both know that gates are stationary, they do not charge anybody. We are the ones who charge the gates of hell where satan has bound those who are waiting to hear the truth that makes one free!
